32 - New Zealand

Hobbiton!!!  We toured the Lord of the Rings Hobbiton movie set today.  It was fabulous!!  A little "touristy".....but I loved it!!

I'm just going to upload a bunch of photos - if you've seen the movies you'll appreciate all the details!  Beautiful place and well done.












































After the tour, we headed back north towards Auckland.  On the way, I'd read about a wonderful garden that we should wander through.  It was fabulous also!!  Hamilton Gardens.

    ...why do they have the Romulus and Remus statue from Rome?

    those statues were at a different park! you are correct that they are terribly out of place for the Lord of the Rings park.
