Notice anything odd? Perhaps someone wasn't paying attention when she dressed this morning?

Spring!
Spring is finally here to stay, I think!
My irises are blooming - they are particularly fragrant this year! Beautiful!

Swap shop find
If you've seen the Sailing Blog, you know that I got a nice "find" for my pillow covering at the county recycle center.....but I also saw a little sewing machine on the shelf.....
I took it just to see what it was.....turned out to be a Bernina brand serger.
Sharon and Buddy visited us last weekend - and I gifted it to her..... She figured out how to thread it (it's complicated!)
And it works perfectly!!
Someone must have been getting out of sewing and just dumped all their nice "stuff" at the county recycle center. Amazing what you find there sometimes. And I donate my unwanted items there too, of course!
So, Sharon has a nice serger - and if I need anything trimmed - I'll ask her to do it, of course!!

I'm fine!
I did want to let everyone know I'm fine!
I do have a lot of bumps and bruises!
Apparently, every spot on your body that is not clothed gets cuts and carpet burns as you tumble! I really don't know what the straight-line cuts are from - maybe the banisters as I tumbled?
The cut on the shin looks pretty good in this photo, but it actually is quite deep, very sensitive to movement and is going to take a long time to heal, I believe!
I'm going to be much more careful in the future!!
Anyway, we're out having fun and hope you are too!!!

I had a little oopsie!
This is the time of year when I take all the flower pots that I have around inside the house and put them outside.....
Unfortunately, the rim of the big, old plastic pot I was carrying broke when I was on about step # 2 from upstairs. The rest of the pot fell towards my feet and tripped me.
I tumbled, head first - just rolled right down the steps. I really, really thought that things were not going to turn out good for me as I tumbled.
But I landed butt-first on the mat at the bottom of the stairs. I sat still for a minute, just trying to decide if I was hurt badly or not. For some strange reason I had chill bumps over my entire body for a few seconds - even though it is very warm here.
Then, as I was getting up from the floor, I noticed a few big drops of blood.
Warning!! Next photo is a little gross!
I felt around and eventually looked down at my leg....there's a decent sized gash in there.....I cleaned it up and put a butterfly bandage on it to hold it together (with copious amounts of Neosporin, of course).
I have a few carpet burns and bruises - plus I'm pretty sore!! Big bodies don't tumble well like children do!
And I thought this was cute - a little while later I happened to look up in the mirror - apparently the dirt really did go everywhere!!
Duane was very sweet and got the big vaccum cleaner and cleaned up all the mess for me!!!

Taking a walk
It's time to get in a little better shape - we're going to fly to Glacier National Park this fall and plan to do some hiking......
So we just went down to our local Pittsboro Town Lake Park. Strangely, it's just a few miles away and we've NEVER been there!
It's just a really small little reservoir - it doesn't appear that they allow boating. An old dam - and the remains of an old pump building. I'll have to research it's history.
And the beavers have been busy!
We didn't see any other sign of the beavers - but lots of trees had been "trimmed".
A nice, easy 2 mile walk - so 4 miles total since it's not a loop!

Busy, busy
Been a busy couple of months - looking at boats to buy.....the latest trips ended up on a negative note. The boat we thought we'd buy didn't pass it's inspection.
But we had a wonderful little mini-vacation!
Pretty walk on the Ft. Pierce jetty.
Got Duane to stand still long enough to shoot a "selfie" while on a walk along the beach.
And a beautiful sunset! Look at the Boat Blog for details of the failed boat purchase!

Go to the boat blog
OK, I know, I'm a broken record.
But, go to the boat blog....
We haven't been doing much else lately!
