I'm shocked that a bird would build a nest in such an accessible place. I've been looking, but haven't see the actual bird yet....I hope that she hasn't abandoned her egg!

Little Birdie Nest
This is a little bird nest that is at waist level outside the entrance door to the terminal building at Siler City. This is a big rose bush.
I'm shocked that a bird would build a nest in such an accessible place. I've been looking, but haven't see the actual bird yet....I hope that she hasn't abandoned her egg!

Hey K,
I know - it's crazy where they nest sometimes - the kildeer that nests on the ground in our yard certainly seems vulnerable - but every year she manages to raise a brood...
Love,
T
Pretty little blue egg! I hope you get a little birdie!
Changing ideas here............my dad says the Asheboro Airport has an awesome aviation museum. Is this the one you operate?
hey marianne - i operate the airport operations. the museum is a separate non-profit group, but they reside on the airport property. by all means, go visit! it's a great 1 or 2 hours - combine it with a trip to the zoo and you have a great day just less than an hour away! neat picturesque covered bridge a few miles down the road also (or if you're into pottery, head south to seagrove to spend $$ on hardened mud!!)
