Helicopter landing zone paint

We needed some markings on the new ramp pavement at Siler City for a helicopter landing area....our engineering firm gave us a drawing detailing how it should look....

Duane made a stencil for the "segmented" circle.  It's huge - 38' radius.  Our buddy Bill shared some of the back-breaking duties!  Marking the outer circle with soapstone.

Then all the way around in 3' increments for each yellow "dash".

And repeat, and repeat!!

Then time for the inner two circles.  These we used a handy-dandy spray machine.

And all finished!!

Then we took off in the airplane for a few circuits around the airport!

And then on towards home....our trees are a little colorful, but I don't think we'll get the nice mountain views here in the flatlands!!!  (Plus we have a few too many pine trees!)  Beautiful day!
