We spent the weekend at the boat, just playing around in the wonderful November summer-time temps!
First, we had to fuel the airplane at the Siler City Airport - and our "hay-man" is doing his twice yearly harvest. The hay he was baling was so pretty, I had to snap some photos. He usually does the big, round bales, but this section of the airport had such nice grass this fall, he baled it in square "horse" bales.
This is just a series of shots from the airplane, as we departed the airport.
Since I had the camera out, these are shots as we arrived at the New Bern airport. You have to fly out over the Neuse River basin to land on the runway we were assigned.
Nothing much going on around the marina - we went out for a sail - and not much wind either!! I busied myself trying to get good shots of the waterfowl....never could get one to sit still very long!!
We were on a collision course with a big barge being towed/pushed by two towboats. We, of course, changed our course direction to pass behind them.
And they steamed on up the intercoastal waterway.
Coming back into our marina, I couldn't help getting a shot of the boys that I've posted about before. They are always fishing or casting bait nets and seem to have perpetual smiles on their faces!
