So, New Years day in Ocracoke was pretty chilly for once. Previous visits have been un-seasonably warm....but this year it was about 36 degrees and windy. So, we took it pretty easy all day.
The left-overs from the previous evening's festivities!
About mid-day, we made it back to Howard's Pub. It's about the only establishment open on the island now. Most of the other's have closed up for the winter.
This is our lovely waitress from New Year's Eve. You know you've been bad when the wait-staff remembers you!
I finally got a photo of the salt-shaker trick....Duane cheated a bit, though!!

That looks like fun - sadly we're in the middle of un-decorating - not so much fun - and it's really cold here again - Minus 5 was the high yesterday and they're calling for more snow this weekend - Oh well - that will freshen things up again and make them all pretty and white - and we'll have to cut a new trail on the sledding hill...
Love,
T
