OK, time for one more "foodie" post. We're leaving Tuesday morning for Beijing!!
Last night, I was trying to "clean out" the refrigerator. I knew the boys were very unlikely to use the carrots and potatoes lurking in the crisper...and certainly the greens would go unused. (have to give credit to Dick and Lindy again for the nice greens!)
I did my usual "frying" of the chopped greens.
I also had a few cloves of garlic lying around - so those go roasted with a drop or two of seasame seed oil. Amazing transformation of the garlic to a sweet-nutty flavor. After 45 minutes in the oven, the little cloves just slip right out of the husks.
Last, it all went together for a (mostly) healthy meal. T, of course will frown on the poultry!!
Next post should be from China if all goes as planned!!
