We're back from Oriental/Ocracoke..but our internet is pretty slow tonight. Richard downloaded a game last week and our satellite provider (wild blue...ugh) has told us that we are over the f.a.p (fair access policy) which means we've downloaded too much --14 gigabytes in one day, apparently....and they reduced our speed SIGNIFICANTLY....no photo uploads tonight. I'll do it at the airport where I have Roadrunner Business Class (and no FAP!!)

WILD BLUE IS TERRIBLE, but it's better than dialup (slightly)

I didn't know that about Wild Blue - I wouldn't want anyone adjusting my bandwidth arbitrarily...

Love,

yeah, it's part of the deal - if you exceed your share for the month, they reduce your speed until you've fallen below the level again (usually a few days - this has happened once before)...satellite is different than dsl or cable, i think. not good, but no real alternative if no one else provides a service....k
