Yesterday, we drove down to Lauringburg to buy a new-to-us engine for Richard's 4-Runner. He had a "catastrophic engine failure" while "mudding" in the Uwharrie's about a year ago. It's been parked in the back of the hangar ever since.
The fellow that was selling the engine had a couple of chassis (I looked it up - that is the plural of chassis!) and a pickup body that he was planning to piece together. But, he never got around to it, so he is selling it all in pieces. It appeared to be in pretty good shape, but we'll see for sure after it's installed in Richard's vehicle.
Loading it up for the (soggy) ride home.
Here's the "before " shot. I'm sure it will be a while before I get to post the "after" shot!!!
Poor, lonely 4-Runner!

looks like a fun hobby!
Richard must like doing that for fun!
It really does kinda look like fun...sort of like grown up legos...

A new project for the guys. E
I love, love, love 4 Runners! I had a 1998 one but it got totalled in 2004. The older ones are sweet...I don't much care for the newer ones. ;)
