Balloon at Siler City
A pretty day for a balloon ride...our neighbor and his "chase crew" pulled in to the airport for a little air time.
Always fun to watch them rig everything up and start inflating the balloon. First with cold, fan-blown air.....
Then, notice the flames - the "hot air" gets started....
Up, up and away!!

no, been there, done that, got the champagne toast afterward. i prefer my aircraft to have wings and at least one propeller!
I'm not so sure about a balloon ride either. But we used to hear the loud WHOOSH of the heaters when those colorful balls would fly over, not seen one here in a long time. Always liked to see them. MOM
