19 - Australia

I have limited internet so this will short.

Leaving Cairns on the "fast boat" that will take us to the "mother ship" anchored out at the Great Barrier Reef.

Approaching our home for the next two days.

Tied up and we walked a plank over to the Reef Encounter live-aboard dive boat.

Getting settled in on the boat in the morning.  The top deck is a nice sun area.

The staterooms are all down the 2nd floor.

Very nice!  Everything you need.  And you can't beat the view!

We all congregated in the saloon area downstairs for briefings for the dives.  (This was the meal area also).

Rows of SCUBA gear all set up for us at the back of the boat.

On the dive platform getting ready to dive.

Yeah, my hair was a mess the whole time!

Best diving ever!!  Oh, but it is tiring!  Heavy tanks, heavy weight belts.  Tossing waves creating balance issues.  Fun though!

Relaxing between dives.

And the food!!  They fed us well!

I'll put up just a few dive photos.  More later!!

The photos of us diving were done by the boat photographer. That's why they are so good! I've got many fish photos taken with my camera...I've sent them to Robert for a little editing to take out the blue haze that you get underwater.
